It all started when…
Love, The Locals was created one summer night in 2015 over friendship, maker chatter and some ice cream sandwiches. It was founded by women + mamas who are passionate about their own tiny, but mighty businesses. Our team has shifted over the years as we all continue to pursue our dreams + ventures, and pour ourselves into them.
Our goal is to create an event and environment that encourages maker fellowship, a variety of curated goods, and an awesome community atmosphere that lends support to our local makers and businesses in Nebraska. We know how important it is when the community chooses to shop small and local, and have poured our gratitude for that into these shows.
We currently host biannual market events highlighting local makers, businesses, and musicians. We curate an environment that allows all ages to shop, socialize and support local.

The Team
Heather - Event Hospitality + Promotion
Looking for a smiling face to guide your way the day of our event - Heather is your gal! She spent many years sewing the cutest baby gear as Oliver & Lucy Designs. Which means she understands the work small shops put in and loves to see them succeed. Heather still loves to sew, is an avid knitter, loves to garden, and teaches 5th grade in Lincoln.
Kaitlyn - Event Coordinator
A lot of details go into this event, and Kaitlyn juggles them! She also has a knack for sewing and creating a rad variety of expertly crafted items. Owl People is her outlet of creativity. Kaitlyn is passionate about bringing our community together to support local, and loves to be a part of that through this show!
